Price vs. Performance, should I get an X-Fi, or should I save up a bit more and get a nice pair of surround speakers?
I do want the Logitech Z-5300E 5.1's, because they seem to be excellent speakers for the performance, judging by the reviews on Newegg.
Thanks.
I'd save up. That way if you find a better deal, you could buy those.
After CES, prices tend to drop around Febuary.

I've been looking to buy a new Surround Sound system as I've been using my Old systems speakers since I built this one.
I've been looking at these two and need some help deciding
This one is quiet expensive

I'm looking for a quality surround sound as I'll be using it all the time for gaming
The absolute best surround system that Logitech makes is the Z-5500. It's a little pricier but you can get a good used set on eBay for cheaper.

I hear reviews that the speakers are great with a big bass; I hear others that they are 8 cheap speakers not making the grade of two good speakers.
I have previously used a 6 speaker 33W Yatai speakers which are preety unknown but I find them pretty fantastic.
Taking the T7900's connectivity and remote out of review, are the T7900's really any good and for £85?
Thank you.

Panasonic SH-FX60, rear wireless speakers... when I plug 'em in they hum/buzz really nastily. I've tried restarting, unplugged and replugged etc, but no good. Panasonic support are no use either.
Any ideas?

To elaborate: these are for my home theatre system, im my front room. They're hooked up to my panasonic surround sound dvd, not my computer.
you might need a decent power conditioner. the wireless speakers have amps, and recievers built into them. the combo might be AMPLIFING the noise that is coming through your power line. also the wireless speakers may be defective. do they hum, all the time, or just when you are putting sound to them? if they hum all the time, it is either dirty power, or defective recievers.
I love playing my xbox 360 on my new 40" Sony Bravia HDTV. Now im interested in buying some surround speakers for the ultimate gaming experience. Well i found a set on amazon and they look fantastic and the reviews say it works excellent. The thing is, there computer speakers. Some of the reviews say they hooked it up to there HDTV and it worked perfect. Will i be able to hook these up to my HDTV and have them work perfect with my xbox 360?? Heres the link to the speakers and my tv.

To get surround sound you'll need a receiver or home theater in a box, which has a decoder to decode the Dolby or DTS sound and sent it to the right speaker for the 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound set up. By just adding speakers it won't work. Computer speaker don't have enough power for a real sound experience you want on your 360 games. Spend a little extra and you'll be happier. Onkyo has a receiver and speaker set up for around $500 (7.1) at Fry's Electronic.

Devotec Solar Sound Bluetooth Speaker Review « thegadgetsite Reviews
Design: The Devotec Solar Sound Bluetooth Speaker comes in glossy black. It is attractive but a bit of a dust collector due to the glossy finish. In their defense a lot of my gadgets are glossy and attract dust. The Solar Sound looks nice and stylish with solar panels on top. The design is very minimalist and the buttons are flush with the unit on the front side. The back has a push in power button.
Function: Initially you need to pair the Devotec speaker with the iPod/iPhone. To do this simply turn on your iPod Touch then click Bluetooth in settings. Turn on the speaker and the solar sound will show up in the Touch under Bluetooth settings. It will say not connected. Click on Solar Sound icon, enter pin number, and then the iPod will connect with the speaker. Now you can play music on the iPod and the sound will come out of the Devotec speaker.
