Speakers Computer

I am using the cable that has a monitor plug and 2 colored cables (red and white, which are audio) which cable would I need to connect these to head jack speakers ( computer speakers)

Go to Radio Shack, or any place that sells electronics and get a stereo RCA (your 360's cables) to mini-jack (your computer speakers) adapter. Should only be $3, or $5 if you get a longer wire.

Be sure it's the stereo adapter - some only do mono, which won't damage anything but you might as well get the best sound possible.

I just bought two decent stereo speakers and hooked them up to my computer. It sounds great, but i want more sound so im wondering if i could hook up my computer speakers to my new ones. The computer speakers are normal speakers and have just the one cord to plug into the computer, where as the new speakers have the same cord except to plug them into the speaker it uses a red and white plug in thingers. There are 2 slots each of these red and white inputs, so im thinking it has something to do with that. Any help? This question probably sounds really confusing, but any ideas would be appreciated.

yea use something called a duel port, or headphone splitter, what they do is instead of there being 1 port 4 ur headphones, u then plug the duel port in and there is now 2, so plug in both speakers and have some fun loud music.
Note: If 1 of the ports on the duel port, then you will only get sound out of 1 side of the speakers, so have both speakers plugged in at the same time. But if u want only one set then get rid of the duel port altogether, because as i said, you will get sound out of only 1 side of the speakers.

I have 3 onkyo speakers and a 2.1 computer speaker set. I am planning on buying a 5.1 receiver. Would i be able to use the 3 real speakers for front left front right and center, then use the computer speakers for the rear? I'm assuming i would have to cut the cable on the computer speakers to make them connectible. Is this correct? Thanks.

it's is not advisable, because you would have to insure the the speakers impedence matches that of the signal feed from the amp or you could burn out the voice coils in the speakers or overheat and damage the amp, both very bad things....

Also when matching the impedence of the speakers to the amp take into account what rating system each uses:

Continous: rated continous output at a single frequency

Program: rated output for multiple frequncey = 2 x continue

Peak: maximum output for less than a sec.

RMS: average power output most common = peak x 0.707


Peak 2 Peak: simply for marketing just = peak x 2

PMPO (peak music power output): Simply for marketing again = peak 2 peak x 2 or peak x 4..

I'm trying to buy some computer speakers since my MacBook Pro is kinda weak even with the volume maxed. Not sure what i should be looking for. I want speakers that are loud but don't hurt the sound by making it scratchy or muffled. All i need them for is to listen to music or watch videos but i really like to make myself deaf. Any tips or suggestions for some good, reliable speakers in the 100-150$ price range?

I got the Edifier E3350 not too long ago. Great sound, nice look, not too much on the $ side of things. Here's a review:

Here's the deal: I have a set of computer speakers that I want to play audio from both my computer and the Wii. Ideally, I would want a 3.5mm single female connector to double male connector cable. I can't find it on the market anywhere. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!

The Wii probably via USB and the speakers (powered?) to the line output on the sound card of the comp. ~
