Speakers For Metal Music

I have a '95 Chrysler Concorde that im fixing up and then later reselling. I get a HUGE discount through my job on all Kicker brand speakers, amps, and subs. Im looking for good speakers to play my kind of music...which is mostly Rock or metal. I do however, listen to rap every once in awhile...


Any help???

get 1 12" kicker cvx and a kicker 750 amp.....awesome combination for rock....if you have room get a ported box, if not go with a good sealed box.

i am looking for a brad of really good car speakers...i listen to death metal hardcore metal and kind of metal really...and i want it to sound really clear when i crank it up...what would be the best brand or brands

Alot of it depends on how much power your are giving your speakers.

Brandwise, chose something that has been around, and in your case, comes with a good warranty.
I would suggest metal cones for the mids and the tweeters. Aluminum or alloy cone speakers have a brighter sound and give you that crisp crunch with the cymbals as well as a clean upper range on the electric guitar. You get more of an enhanced attack on the sound rather than a mellow smooth sound.
If your budget allows, check out the Diamond D6 components. You will need to amplifiy these, but I promise they will cut through heavy bass with great clarity.

I'd say Rock music represents about 65% of my music.
Pop represents about 25%
And all other genres, 10%.

I think about 90% of my collection is Rock. The remaining 10% is a mix between county, jazz, world, and big band/swing. Although, that isn't to say I have a few albums from each genre...I have several. I have a lot of music! LOL
Punk makes up about 70-75% of my overall collection.

I definitely prefer speakers! Headphones are really bad for your ears.

Rockford Fosgate's are pretty good. I use those babies on everything. The throwback ones not the new ones though. I haven't tried the new ones....

ok it first started when i was watching a film i have on my pc, i heard a strange noise so paused the film and could hear someone talking in there house !!!!!!! He started speaking and had an american accent but i live in britain. it has happened twice and the second time i could hear heavy metal music through my speakers. im really amazed by this as it is simply unexplainable but if you have any idea what has happened plz let me know

Could be that your speakers are picking up radio frequencies. Many of them do but it depends on the device giving off the frequency.
