I am a Music Producer making beats from my home studio. Anyhow, im planning on investing in new speakers that will benefit me in my music production. I want to know what ammount of watts would be a good ammount to create and MIX quality beats. Help me out here, thanks.

but from my experience i say get the best that you can cause your going to want to hear everything that you can so you can make the mix as high quality as possible. BUT IF YOU HAVE NEIGHBORS BE CAREFUL WITH GOING TO LOUD BECAUSE NEIGHBORS WILL CALL THE POLICE ON U!!!!

My boyfriend is a producer and is looking for a new desk for his studio. I am trying to surpise him with one for Christms this year. He needs at least enough space for a computer monitor, 2 monitor speakers, a Digi002 Board, and a mixer, and 19-inch rack bays. I've got an iBook G4 and would like to start a bit of music production on it... My problem doesn't lie in software but my real problem is using the small speakers on the laptop. I was wondering is there any sort of lead that can connect the laptop with my stereo speakers so I can hear the sound from there?
I looked on my speakers to see the Headphone jack since I have the 3.5mm cables you all speak of... but there is no jack on either speakers... BUT there are 2 red and white sockets (for left and right speakers) on the main bit of the stereo. Is there a cable that connects that to the laptop?

If your stereo has a line input you can get a lead to go from the head phone socket on your pc to the input of the stereo.
probabley 3.5mm phone jack to 2 us phono plugs
