Speakers Sound Bad

i have a new sony deck, and i want new front speakers. i am looking at a pair of 4x6 sonys for the front, but i dont really want to replace the back 6x9 speakers. will the speakers sound bad together?

I just put a new set of Alpine Type S speakers in my car, and they still sound no better than my old, stock speakers from 98. is this because the stock wiring is too thin? or i also heard from a friend that it might be because i have no amp to them, but i still think they would sound fine with no amp...
any answers??? :D
well i wouldnt say its the deck. i have a new sony Xplod deck that seems fine, and i ive only had it for about 2 months

assuming type S door, or rear deck speakers. if the new speakers sound as bad as the old ones you may have a bad radio. the radio can still put out a signal even when slightly toated. this would produce a garbled, distorted sound. an amp is not required unless you wantclean sound at high volume. these speakers will hook up fine to any after market radio without an amp. stock wiring is not to thin

I just bought a radio that puts out 50x4watts. All four speakers are hooked up except the back ones are snipped and tied of because they are blown but the front speakers work. The only problem im having is when i turn the volume up it causes my front speakers to sound crackily. They don't become distorted like people say would happen instead its a weird sound and I don't know what its from. Can anyone please help and tell me why its doing this.

I just bought some BOSE speakers for my desktop; and when I play some songs I downloaded off of limewire they sound like there going in and out. Is there some way to fix this; or should I just delete the song?

Its probably just the song. I've been using lime wire and have had no such problems playing the music on our Infinity speakers.

I've just set up my mum's tannoy speakers to my sony cd player to my tv, the sound is very muffled and nothing is clear allthough they do work. why is this as the speakers are good and the cd player isnt that shabby either.
Also, the cd player only lets me change the bass and the treble.
Any ideas why this is and how i can fix it?

Either the speakers or connections are broken, try using different speakers to see if it's the speakers or the CD player. Good Luck :D
