am looking for a car stereo that works with ipod.... know there are lots around (alpine/panasonic/kenwood etc) but could do with a review website?

Stereo Review magazine began in 1958 as Hi-Fi and Music Review, it has had name changes over the years to reflect ever-changing technology. It was changed to HiFi Review later in 1958, then HiFi/Stereo Review in 1960 and just Stereo Review in 1968. In 1989 when its publisher folded High Fidelity Magazine - subscribers then received Stereo Review in its place.

In 1999 it became into Sound and Vision Magazine when Stereo Review and Video Magazine were combined by the publisher.

well it sure as hell isnt sony. look man, you need to get out of best buy, and go into a private shop. there are tons of other brands that you dont even know about that would make the stuff at best buy look like a 2 year old girls stereo.

with that aside i dont think there is a "best" its too much based on personal opinion. however, here are some of my favorites.

Kenwood Excelon
MB Quart
Pioneer Premier
Diamond Audio

check out some of these brands, then ask your question again. there is a whole nother world of car audio out there, all you have to do is find it.

Was looking at MD players from Sony, but I believe the MD to be on its way out, with new forms of solid state memory. Want a high quality recording in stereo. Any sites with reviews would also be helpful.
