Stereo Sub Woofer

What are the top 10 brands for if I want to buy a single subwoofer for my pickup?

There are far more quality brands out there that are not the same old same old mainstream high mark up woofers. Do some research, many of the above listed brands have not made a quality driver in a number of years. Many have gone over seas to very cheap build houses that have poor build quality to maximize profit. There are still small companies that are built here in the USA that provide high quality drivers at a decent price. Look beyond the mainstream brand names and learn some about the drivers themselves.

I dont know much about subs and amps and ect. but i have a 12" sub and amp that used to be in my dads car. Now i want to hook it up in my room for that loud thump. i have a regular sony system in my room. I know its possible but no one can explain or show well. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

not a good idea, you will damage the subs over time. Subs for car audio are looking for AC power, the power from your home stero is DC, also you will want to pay attention to the ohm's levels, cuz that can also as well damage the speakers

cause i want to leave the stock stereo and leave the same speakers that has right now and just add a sub woofer.

yes its called a line out converter which takes signal from one of your inner speakers and converts it to rca then you hook your turn on wire to the power wire on your factory head unit
