Surround Sound Center Speakers

I have surround sound speakers built into my house, but need a good center channel speaker for dialogue. Can anyone recommend a good speaker for this purpose?

Find out what speaker brand and model you have, you will then want to get a center that is timbre' ( tam-ber) matched for that series of speaker. Match to the fronts if they are diferent from the rear.

Man, I gotta do some other videos rather than these unboxings LOL. Well, as you already know, I am unboxing the Logitech Surround Sound Speakers ...

I mean, I'll be using my PS3 as the DVD/Bluray playback, accompanied to a quality 5.1 channel capable receiver with great quality surround sound speakers. Or, should I consider my PS3 for JUST playing games, and invest in another Bluray/DVD player? .......

Good god no. The PS3 is arguably the best Blu-ray player made. It would be redundant to buy another player.

It is really redundant to install a speaker on a wall just under or above a tv when there is on built in to it.

depending on what sort of system you have, you could try wiring up a twin phono lead lead (making sure that you wire up the cable correctly so as not to cross polarity, and joining the red positive to the white positive in bare wire to put into your amplifier so that both speakers work in tandem). How ever as redundant as it seems, having a center speaker is the best way to get sound out of your surround sound system as center speakers are made as such to give a more realistic sound for speech and so there for a single center speaker is better for the job than two stereo speakers made to sound as one, plus the speakers in your tv are most likely too bassy to act as a center speaker.

I’m looking to buy a surround sound system for my TV. I want to be able to play music with good quality, but also watch movies with a true surround sound experience. I was thinking about getting a sub woofer, a center channel speaker, and then 4 floor standing speakers for the left and right, front and rear positions. My question involves the 4 floor standers. Is it advisable to have floor standing speakers in the rear or would bookshelf speakers be better for the movie watching?

if you have room for the floor standing speakers sound better for music then the small satellite speaker even with a good sub. the small speaker do OK for TV viewing but for music they do not sound as good as a good full sized speaker. For the rears the large Speaker is not as important as the sound unless you are in 5 stereo is mostly coming from the front speakers the rears are just effects and fill sound so smaller is ok for the rears.

I was given a Koss system model #KS3102. It has 6 speakers (two front, the center, the subwoofer & two surround sound for the back I am assuming) I have everything hooked up & all the speakers work but looking @ the diagram that came with it, it looks like the speaker should be 10 feet apart. But my living room isn't big enough to have the rear speakers 10 feet away from the couch. Am I missing something? Please explain to me where each speaker should be to get the best sound and how far apart from each other they should be. Also do you have any idea why I can't regular fast forward...it's scans forward to chapters. Thanks for your help?

i suggest that you place your speakers in your room since your living room isn't that big well at least put it in your room or your entertainment room or something. or a place where you will entertain your friends, visitors etc.
