Surround Sound Speakers Stands

I have no idea what sony speakers I have but I want to buy two stands to put them behind my couch. I see on Ebay that they are usually listed by brand, but aren't my Sony speakers a different shape and size than other Sony speakers? Does anyone know a good website that can help me make sure I purchase the right stand.

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME:
I HAVE PURCHASED AN LG 6 SPEAKER CINEMA SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM MODEL LH-T550TB.
THE 4 TALL FLOOR SPEAKERS (FRONT AND REAR) IS THE BOTTOM PART JUST THE STANDS,THEREFORE RECIEVE NO SOUND FROM THEM.
CURRYS TELL ME BOTTOM PART ARE ALL STANDS,BUT LG TELL ME THE BOTTOM PART OF FRONT SPEAKERS SHOULD RECIVE SOUND,BUT THE BOTTOM PART OF REAR SPEAKERS ARE STANDS ONLY!!

I install these Daily and I can categorically state that the bottom part of the speaker is only stand , all round . However it does carry wire through it so that when you click the two parts of the speaker together the top half connects to the bottom half and carries the sound so you do need the two halves on all 4 stand up speakers to be connected together

They will work either way you place them depending on your preferance.

Don't bother taking a yard stick out and measuring your room... They don't care and really don't have a clue.

In the manual there will be a section on setting it up. They are going to lead you through several areas... where the speakers are located in respect to where you sit. How high off the ground they are etc etc.

Good rule of thumb, is to keep the right and left front speakers about 3 feet to either side of the TV, and the backs should be the in the same spot across the room, at ear level.

When they ask how far the front speakers are from you, they are setting up the surround, so you hear it properly. so make sure you get that as close to on the nut as you can.

I didn't get a real good look, however they all seemed to be the same speaker with possibly the exception of the center. Which should be placed on top of the TV by the way, so you shouldn't have to worry about which speaker goes where, they are all the same, regardless of what the little speaker on the back says.

If you are able to use your own speaker wire, which I presume you won't with this package, I recommend getting better wire than comes with the package. It's going to sound and work a lot better that way.

Can you plce the center chanel in the ceiling and not have the front and rear speakers drown them out.

It really doesn't make much sense. You would get a much better audio experience if they're at ear level. Slightly above or below - the point of a center console is that it gives the illusion that the sound is coming from the video. For the most part, the closer the direction of the sound the better the sound. Above? not so much.
