I'm going to reference the best and break it down for you.
Before you get excited I want you to realise that with this simple Component/Amp/Sub set up there is a good chance that your stereo would cost more than your car.....

I was kidding about it costing as much as your car but if you were to get a custom install with fiberglass and maybe wrapped to match your interior it could really start to get expensive.

If you were to buy the above mentioned components for your car I would fly out to come see you just to listen to if for a day.

If you didn't want such an expensive system you whould have been more specific.....

Among them should be B&W, Harman Kardon/JBL, Polk Audio, Dynaudio. I am looking for a research study or other reliable source.

Unfortunatley Bose is the biggest, but they also spend a TON on advertising. It's actually funny that not many people have heard of real high end audio equipment manufacturers, including my friends and my family:except for my cousin because that's what he does - avaudiovision.com
I did read somewhere about who makes the most, or maybe it was who spent the most on advertising, or both, but I would agree with some of who you said. Maybe B&W would be second. I looked for it for a while before I am posting this but I can't find it. I bought this set of pioneer speakers. they're an older set, but appear to be in top shape. I opened them up and somebody has got the wiring all screwed up. I need a scamatic that shows the proper wiring diagram. BTW the model # is
My speakers are pioneer model # CS-T7000 and they are a 4-way system

Most consumers don't open up a speaker box. How do you know that the wiring is all screwed up, are they all hookup or cut up. If they are still connected then it's ok, try connecting a source to the speaker and see if they work. No one can assist you if you did not provide the model number for the speakers. Try goin online to pioneer and provide the model number, they can probobly assist you better.
