It's a good radio with acceptable range. I seriously doubt that you'll get 10 miles. Now it has been very clear that some Indian rogue soldiers first kidnapped two ladies aged 17 & 22(sisters in laws) of a village in Shopian district of South Kashmir(extremely cold zone) on Friday, 29 th May, 2009, when both went out of their house to visit their orchard. They took them in a blue armoured van having a tall door at the back side. Such armoured vans are frequently visible in the entire valley. They were raping them at night when some passers by heard their screaming voices asking for help. Some stood by & were warned by soldiers to move away or face elimination. A grocery shopkeeper told about the customers who visited last to his shop & passed the way of the van & soldiers nearby. The customers told the horrifying stories & threats of soldiers. After gang raping(medical reports proved that), they threw their bodies in water canals. The story has been published in "The Times of India" of 20 th June, 2009 too. Local print media & BBC radio too reported all details. Shopian is a district of exquisite natural beauties all along the road from Srinagar(capital) to the city, 60 km away. It has rich forest wealth. While going, you can watch soldiers cutting > 200 feet tall Blue Pine & Deodar(Cedar)trees & smuggling timber indiscriminately, each one giving timber worth Rs. 3,00,000. They cut trees in many tens of thousands of numbers per month as reported by an Indian TV channel along with videos too. It takes >100 years for a tree to be so much tall & thick. People have orchards of fruits of many varieties. Soldiers have free hands to pluck as many as they like, unreported & unaccounted b coz of having lethal weapons against defenceless & resistanceless very simple villagers. Most of local people are tall of white complexion, brown or green eyes & good looking faces. Girls are very beautiful. Indian armymen like CRPF & BSF are mostly from extremely poor, backward, indisciplined, uncultured, illmannered tribal & other places of Jharkhand, Orissa, Bihar, M. P., Rajasthan, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh & Maharastra states living in mud houses or huts, most of them of black complexion & horribly looking faces looking like wild animals. Is it an old pre-planned strategy against people as reported by local print media & people too say so ? Last year I've visited many villages where almost all men have been killed by soldiers. Dooru in south Kashmir is one of them. Why such atrocities against hapless villagers ? Is this correct way of following Geneva Convension in a DISPUTED TERRITORY by the occupying forces ?

Then Kashmir issue would not at all have existed today. At least no Muslim of Pakistan even demands India to return lands of Punjab, Haryana, HImachal Pradesh & West Bengal as you put your impractical demands like Shaikh Chilli abt properties etc again & again. Do you know even after partitions of Punjab & West Bengal, the final map made by Radcliff was ready on 12 Aug, 1947 keeping Muslim majority districts Ferozpur & Gurdaspur within Pakistan ? By Nehru's further demand to Lord, the boundary line was changed further during 13 - 17 August, 1947 to keep both districts in India, removing from Pakistan. Kapurthala, Patiala & Faridkot had Muslim majorities but non _ Muslim rulers killed all Muslims & did accession to India. Does any Muslim of India or Pakistan asks India to give accounts of them too in the same manner you & few others ask horrible absurd questions abt people killed & their properties captured ? All authentic reports say all 1947 riots were statrted by Sikhs & Hindus only.
