7 Mile Radio Two Way

How do you calculate the capable distance between to radio sites? I have one Master Radio at 220 feet antenna height and transmitting at 37db, and I want to know if it will be able to communicate with a Remote station at 25 feet high, also 37db. The distance is about 7 miles between the two sites. Without testing first, should these technically be able to communicate with each other?
Yes LOS comms and narrow band radios. Not sure if the power is enough though. Im not sure if there are calculators for figuring this out....

Are they line of sight? If so, it should work, with a good enough receiver and a narrow band.

I have a 98 Intrepid that has less than 40k miles. sinve I've had the car, I've had 7 new batteris put in. The radio is urned off, no interior or trunk light is on. Two different mechanics tested the alternator and that is fine. The stater is also good.

The battery is locaed in the passenger side wheel well, so there are 2 cable that are attached to the battery comin up and case it needs to be jumped. I have no idea where the battery losin power or what could be drawing from it. I also HIGHLY doubt, I could have gotten 7 bad batteries in a row.

Can anyone help?

Why did you replace the batteries rather than just recharging one? You do not drive much, it seems that you do under 4000 miles a year. If you leave the car sitting for long periods of time (3-4 weeks between starting, and do not take the car far, it may just be that the computer and clock are drawing the power down, and you do not drive the car far enough to recharge the battery fully! If you park the car in a garage with electrical power, get a "float charger" which you attach to the jump ports and will keep the battery charged!

If the car is parked outdoors, you can get a solar panel charger that will plug into the cigarette lighter or power port and will use the sunlight to keep the battery charged.
