Be advise that these radios, regardless of how many miles it says it can go up to, NEVER live up to it's advertised promise. Even when used on the high power channels, which requires an FCC license before operating, is good for no more than a few city blocks in the city. In open terrain, it may get the maximum distance.

    This unit was easy to hook up, once I found the web page that showed me how to pull off the trim and get to the back of the factory FM radio.
