Lately my kenwood in-dash cd player has been cutting out at random times, and also if I hit a bump hard enough. I have had the radio for two years now, but I love it, so I was wondering if I needed to replace the whole radio or just the face plate itself? The faceplate is under $100 and I still get a discount on that price, so will that fix my problem?
If the music is skipping or cutting out, that means the disc is moving, your faceplate will have nothing to do with this. You'll have to replace to whole thing or try a few things to make the reciever more secure.

love my new Veracruz but have two annoying issues that I would like some feedback on
Ignition : It takes too many turns of the engine to start the veracruz. Around 80% of the time it will not start unless I try to do it a second time. My dealer has checked it out but cannot find any fault with the starter. I think it might have something to do with the fuel line but they also discounted that.
Radio: It I change the radion settings ( bass / treble etc) and then turn off the car upon restart it loses these settings and reverts back to the old ones. This also occurs with radio stations and cd tracks.
Please help!!!

I am looking to buy a cell phone for use on at&t. I'm debating between buying it at an official at&t store or at a Radio Shack.
I can buy it at the at&t store for a final price of $130 or at Radio Shack for $49. The at&t store is $80 more, but supposedly can throw in about $60's worth of accessories like a memory card, car charger, and maybe something else to help match the price. Radio Shack can't do any deals on accessories, but the phone is priced much lower and doesn't require rebates to get the additional discount.
Anyone have any comments about the two deals, and the two vendors? Regarding the stores, I feel the at&t store is the most "official" but the staff in each store I've been to has been very pushy, and they know very little about the product. They're attitude generally is "Are you gonna buy it today? Right now?" Radio Shack is a depressing store to be in, but their people can answer questions. I've heard stories about them, but they seem to be okay, considering I know what I want.
Any thoughts?
I never buy my cell phones from the service provider. I can get a much better deal elsewhere and after you walk out the door, the contract is the SAME regardless. If you have problems the local official store will still provide you will the same help regardless of where you bought it.
The official stores have extremely high mark up on the accessories and while you think you may be getting up to $60 in free accessories, you can buy them elsewhere for a lot less.
In this day and age, pushy salespeople are the norm, but it is your choice as to how fast they push you. Make sure you have all your questions asked before making your purchase.
When I am ready for a new phone, I go to the official store and check out the phones on display and look at the features that are important to me. In example, the ability to read the display without my reading glasses. I don't want to have to put on my glasses just to see what number is called on what time it is. When I pick out a phone, I then see who can give me the best deal on it.
The best thing I can suggest, talk to your freinds who may have the phone or service provider you are interested in. Let their personal experiences help you with your choice.
I guess what it comes down to, after you get home with the phone, does it really matter where you got it from it? Does saving up to $80 make a difference? It does to me, you can proably use the saving to pay the first months service and get the accessories you need as well.
. Multiple Regression Model
Suppose a large consumer product company wants to measure the effectiveness of different types of advertising media in the promotion of its products. Specifically, two types of advertising media are to be considered: (1) radio and TV advertising, and (2) newspaper advertising including the cost of discount coupons. A sample of 22 cities with approximately equal populations is selected for study during a test period of 1 month. Each city is allocated a specific expenditure level for both types of advertising. The sales of the product (in thousands of dollars) and also the level of media expenditure during the test month are recorded as follows:

Using Megastat correlation/regression or MS EXCEL regression function under TOOLS menu, Data Analysis:
1.Find the coefficient of multiple correlation (R) between sales and advertising costs. Interpret the result. [hint: First, enter advertisement and sales data in Excel. Highlight the y-cell range. Highlight all x-cell ranges at once].
2.Find the coefficient of multiple determination (R2). Interpret the result.
3.State the multiple regression equation.
4.Interpret the meaning of the slopes in the equation.
5.Predict the average sales for a city in which radio and TV advertising is $20,000 and newspaper advertising is $20,000 [use 20 instead of 20,000 in the equation].
6.If you were Director or Marketing, which method of advertising would you use most – TV & radio advertising or newspaper advertising? Why?
7.Is the data free from autocorrelation? [see the value for DW statistic in Excel output]
8.Is the data free from multicollinearity? [see the values for VIF in Excel output]
