Two Way Radios Answers

Is channel frequency 409.75-409.99 freq(MHz) family radio walkie talkie allowed without the need of license?

I have a pair of GE 20-Channel Family Radio System Model FH35820/21 purchased overseas and would like to use it in Surrey, B.C.. Its frequency is 409.75-409.99 freq (MHz). Wonder if the use of it here may violate any telecom / police regulation. Kindly advise if you know it. Thanks,

Toss 'em and get the TriSquare eXRS radios. 100% digital. 100% private because you use your own channel (billion channels available) Never any interference from other people. No license required.

Family Guy - Over

Stewie gives Brian a walkie-talkie then gives him a hard time when he doesn#39;t follow protocol. (Season 6: Episode 7)

Agreed that the Family Guy walkie talkie sketch (Over!) is the funniest in cartoon history?

i need a two way radio walkie talkie for my family?

atleast 18 miles range. so that we can communicate to each other with that miles not below 15 miles. i want to make it 18 for accuracy. we live on a city, so what walkie talkie is the best? thanks and God Bless

Nothing available that will do this. All those radios you see advertised with these outrageous range claims are totally false. I can't even make that range on my amateur radio equipment. (This is direct point-to-point, handheld communications, without a repeater as all consumer-grade equipment is made for)

All GMRS equipment requires a license. With your license you can use repeaters through GMRS. Other options include an amateur radio license, which requires a test.

can a walkie talkie be used in India for personal communication within family?

If yes, is a license required? please suggest a make/model for the beginners.

if you're a tramp, sure.

What is the best multi-channel walkie talkie, with a reasonable price?

I need to buy like, 11, for a family vacation. Anybody out there able to help?

Motorola is the cadillac of radios. You can pick up some cheap 1 or 2 channel radios at any electronics store, but you can also rent them from your local radio shop.

  • Best Walkie Talkies For Skiing 2009 What Is The Best Two-way Radio ...

I examined two walkie-talkies way for quite a while, but I can not find what would be companies / type of radio better.
Do not use the radio for normal skiing, because it makes sense for mobile phones, but no reception where I am on the right track and is very helpful, who drives the snowmobile's talk ', there is a problem.
Search for the best deal in the first place, and a good battery life in second place (you can still battery backup). More important than the size, I worried that I might go with lots of trees. (A sign that penetrates and bounces, the objects might be useful for AM radio.)
Even something that works with a helmet would be good, so it is easier to communicate.
