I have a uniden 885 walkie talkie two way radio that comes with its own headset. The plug that the headset uses

I have a uniden 885 walkie talkie two way radio that comes with its own headset. The plug that the headset uses is a single 2.5mm jack plug.I want to use the radio on my motorcycle. So the headset that comes with the radio is no good as it wont fit inside a helmet.I have had a look for one on the web but the ones that i find dont use a single 2.5mm jack plug. Can anyone recommend one that i can use.

Take a look at your existing headset plug and see if it has one black band around it or two. Those are insulators and will tell you if the output from your uniden is mono (one band) of stereo (two bands). Next, buy a headset that works in your helmet that has the same # of bands. Go to Radio Shack or something better and ask those pathetic geeks to help you make a conversion cable that will work. They have all kinds of tips (plugs/sockets) made to fit most devices that are interchangeable, relatively inexpensive, and they work fine. Good luck.

Would love to surprise my hubby with a rendition of the 12 days of Christmas...need gift ideas?

I'd love to surprise my hubby with the 12 days of Christmas but for a reasonable price. I'm going to get him 1 of something on the first day, 2 of something on the second day (but not 2 of something and 1 of something again on the second day) All I can think of is food but he's not that into sweets and such and we have a lot of snack food already so I don't want to add anymore (both of us are trying to lose weight)

A little bit about my hubby. He loves playing his guitar, bass, and drums. He has an XBox 360 (but not planning on buying him games too expensive) We have a 20 month old daughter. He owns two motorcycles. He used to work for a radio station but down works as a manager at the corporate office for a company that sales high end electronics. He's also just a big kid at heart. My hubby often fights over the toys with my daughter. Thank you for any ideas. :) Remember that probably the more expensive things near the front and cheaper things at the end.

Dress up like the 12 days of Christmas every night after the kids go to bed or before the get home from school.. But wear ab-so-lutely nothing underneath. Sing the song one day at a time and give the SEX HE LOVES or WANTS. Take a Polaroid Picture of each day and keep it for the 4th of July. Have fun, and enjoy.

I bought mine from a local dealers. It comes with 2 ear pieces that velcro into the recesses in the helmet, near your ears, the microphone velcros onto the chin piece.everithing plugs in and the push to talk button fits on the handlebar near the switches. mine were made by Oxford and cost £25 for each set(1 helmet) and worked perfectly between 2 bikes at up to 80mph.

Should i tell them about the nightmares they said was just acute PTSD?

Three months ago yesturday i was in a serious car accident. I hit a motorcycle and the man riding it lost his leg and almost his life. I've been traumatized. I can still see the man and his niece (there were two people on the bike) flipping through the air, and hear their bodies hit the ground, and hear his screams of agony. I still dream about it. I freeze up when ever i see a motorcycle on the road, whether i'm driving or just a passenger. I went to my psychiatrist (i have depression) after the accident and he said i acute PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder). That was two months ago. I'm still having the dreams. Still freaking out. And seems to be getting worse. The other day i heard a comercial on the radio for a Harley and i froze up, shivered, and started cry. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go back to my psychiatrist because it makes me feel like i'm a crazy person. What should i do?

A psychiatrist will likely only give you meds to help decrease some of the hyperarousal symptoms, although if you are depressed you are likely on an SSRI anyhow and their effectiveness in this area is sorely limited. I suggest that you see a counselor, particularly one trained in EMDR who can help you reprocess the trauma. It is especially effective in instances of specific incident trauma.
Good Luck!
