I don't think so. Motorola usually puts in something proprietary to prevent the use of other than Motorola radios on their system.

how much is the market price for a kenwood two-way radio with model # TK-3107 uhf signal. what are the pros and cons of a radio with uhf or vhf signal.

In simple terms a uhf freq. will be better in a urban enviroment and vhf better in a woodland area. Vhf works better than uhf in a mountainous area. Email me if you have a more specific explanation.

Someone already answered this question, but the links they gave me didn't work. I'd like to just be able to send morse code messages through a motorola or kenwood radio.

I work for a school site approximately one city block in size. We have two types of radios, Radius SP50’s and Kenwoods TK-3200’s. The Radius radios can be heard by the Kenwood’s. The Kenwood’s can’t be heard by the Radius. Can anyone explain to me why, and how to resolve the situation?

There is probably a programming problem with one of the radios. To help eliminate conversations between other people, radios will frequently have what is called a CTCSS code. It is also called PL, QC, CG, QT and other names. The Radius has a code that activates the Kenwoods receiver so you can hear it. The Kenwood either doesn't have this code, or has the wrong code. This means the Radius receiver isn't activated and you don't hear the Kenwood. It is easy to fix buy you will need to take both radios into a shop to have the problem fixed.
