Headset: two pin
Two way radio: has only 1 pin (it only accepts a special headset set)
But I was thinking that I could unscrew the radio and solder the speaker wire to the one connected the build in speaker and the microphone to the build in mic. Can someone tell me I this will work out?
It depends on the radio. Vehicle radios can be anywhere from 8 ohm to 50 ohm speaker outputs. Handhelds can be from 16 ohm to 600 ohm outputs. Most Motorola handhelds are about 16 ohm outputs to the headset or speaker mics.
Transmit audio is a different story. Many two way radios put DC voltage on the mic line for amplified mic elements. They take close to 1/2 volt audio. Others only take a few millivolts. If your add on mic way overdrives the radio you can try adding resistors in line till it sounds good. 10k ohm or so.
After all that, it's not going to sound very good. Computer mics are made to transmit up to 20khz. Most two way readios only handle 3khz audio and don't sound good if you try to cram high frequency audio down their throats. Computer mics tend to be way too sensitive and pick up a lot of background noise too.

Whenever I plug my Microphone/Earphone into the mic slot of my two way radios, it forces that radio in a transmit mode, so rather than waiting for me to push the button to communicate, it constantly transmits my voice. This wouldnt be a problem if it didnt block any incoming signals.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Its not a short, otherwise both radios wouldnt do it
Take it apart and see where the Push to talk circuit is shorting to another circuit and disconnect that.

The radios are Uniden model SPH21DT and im trying to find a speaker/mic that would work. like the one law enforcement officers use.
The site below lists your radio model and a speaker/mic for it. The listed price is $43.00.
Like in the movie "Shooter", they have one that looks like a bluetooth but the mic goes to your mouth?
I need one where I can talk to someone with one like it..but without using a cell phone..and without pressing a button to talk...just..when I say something, the person on the other end can hear me

Speaker Mic 53724 for Motorola Talkabout two-way Radio
I am sure this will sound unusual, but here goes. One of my hobbies, besides amateur radio, is horseback riding. Last year I bought a Motorola i580, since we are on Nextel iDen at work. I bought the i580 and popped in my work SIM card because the i580 is fairly rugged, water resistant, and has an MP3 player. I listen to comedy, rather than music, most of the time, so I transferred some comedy MP3s to the i580 micro sd card. Since I don't want my ears covered while horseback riding, I bought a Motorola Nextel Remote Speaker Microphone NSN6066 for use with the i580. It works great for me horseback riding, but the i580 will only take a 2 GB micro sd. Since then, I have bought a used BlackBerry...
