I'm a security guard and we use two-way radios for communication but I'm going to be getting a CB radio and was wondering if it's possible to use it to talk to a two way radio. Like would it be the same frequency or the same channel as on the two way? Thanks.
Definitely not. CB channels are between 26.965 MHz (channel 1) and 27.405 MHz (channel 40). The majority of two-way communication radios use frequencies between 460 MHz and 470 MHz.

I run a nightclub and my bouncers need to be able to communicate back and forth via 2 way radio (walkie talkie) It's VERY loud inside, so i need something that will ignore background noise as much as possible. Also our walls are tin, so I need something with good reception. I've been searching and searching, but I really have no clue what I'm looking for. The only brand of walkie talkie I've ever owned is motorola for camping, and those were just the cheapest thing at walmart. I'm looking for something with rechargeable batteries, and that a earpiece with push to talk capabilities can be attached to.
well, gordan that has absolutely NOTHING to do with my question, so thanks for nothing!
Bouncers are complete arseholes. Why would you want to attempt to talk to them? Last one I spoke to hit me. I have the Leeds CCTV system and 42 sober witnesses against the twat - guess where he's going? He won't be using no walkie talkie in their!

I'm a security guard, and an avid volunteer. I often find myself communicating over a two way radio. I was looking to pick up my own, so I could program every frequency I use in one radio. I need a wide range, any suggestions?
Not sure what frequency band you had in mind.
Check out TriSquare eXRS radios. Amazon sells them. They are 100% private and secure since the work point-to-point (like nextel phones). The range is equivalent to the radios you find in Radio Shack and Best Buy.
We have a 2003. It has a little light on the radio that starts flashing when you turn the car off and it says in white letters ''ANTI THEFT'' under the light. Then when we lock it with the remote key there is one in the instrument cluster that flashes. I can't find anything in the manual about the ANTI THEFT one and it flashes even if the car is unlocked. Love the car but why two security lights? Whats the little one on the radio for?
With the growing theft of factory units, they have security system for the head unit. If the head unit is removed, the unit will not work in another Accord not matching the security parameters. The other light is for the car itself.
