If you guys need detail I can post more, but right now I have an extra handset and want to know if it is possible for somehow making it so that it transmits signals through the base so that other two way radios can pick them up and transfer the signals back as understandable speech.
The best place I've found for these ideas is INSTRUCTABLES.COM! This website is for any/all reusable items you may have. There are many GENIUS level ideas and people who will even help you make it happen. Check em out!!!!!

By wireless, I mean wireless earpiece and mic....
Preferably? What, you are considering a system with wires? That might prove to be problematic.
Joking aside, what are known as PMR446 radios are available in the UK and have a range of between one and three miles. I think that should be more than adequate. You can identify them by the fact that they will have 8 channels and 38 subchannels.

presuming they work on the same frequency, can two wireless phones communicate with each other without the mother unit?
the handset and base frequencies are 2 diffrent frequencies.
the base transmits both sides of the phone call to the handset(s) and the handset transmits only 1 side of the conversation.
while this as a project would be difficult if not impossible, because most modern cordless phones use some sort of FHSS, DSS, or other method for randomly changing channel, and are digital (encrypted) it would be difficult to test..
the best option for attempting this would be one of the first 25 channel cordless phones, but i doubt you will be able to find any...
many newer phones have an intercom feature between phones... I have a panasonic expandable DECT phone, with 4 handsets (i can expand upto 6) and i just need to press intercom, and the # for the handset that I want to call (1-6) and the handset rings, and can be answered like a normal phone call...

I'm looking at buying a set of Two-Way radios for my small consulting business. I would like as long of range as possible since I know you get less distance due to building obstructions & weather conditions. Both radios should have a recharging base they plug into. I've seen up to 18 mile GMRS radios but would like to see if I can find longer range. I can also apply for a FCC license if needed.
I'm looking into this as an alternative to wireless phones since I would only be speaking with one other person 95% of the time (my dispatch). Using these type of radios would cut down on the need for a larger calling plan with phones since most of my clients are within the same 5-10 mile range. I don't need private/encrypted channels but the FRS channels around here are too busy with other users.
Use of GMRS requires a license. In a business, *each person* using the radios would require their own license. Businesses cannot get a GMRS license as they are non-individuals. "Consumer grade" GMRS radios with those false 18 mile range claims will not work for the application you need. Range is typically 2 miles or less.
With a base station, and a mobile radio, you could swing this range with GMRS. *Maybe* a base and a handheld would work. You need that antenna height.
OR, you could go with something in the Business Radio service. A repeater would be needed. You probably need to consult with a reputable communications company and have them set you up. Equipment costs, licensing, and repeater lease fees could get costly.
I have a Lenovo laptop that uses a Broadband 802.11 multiband network adapter though i have no clue what that means it just keeps powering off after two minutes if you have any suggestions how i can fix this please let me know
First off, if this is a company laptop, call your company IT department. If not a corp laptop, then call Lenovo support about this issue.
Sounds like you may have a hardware issue and thusly a Warranty repair on your hands.
