Walkie Talkie Nextel

I already have boost mobile, but it doesn't work when I leave the country. So I'm looking for a nextel walkie talkie phone.

boost is nextel/sprint so u can go to the boost website and see all the phones that r nextel that is compatible with boost.

My brother is going to Mazatlan for 6 months, and we bought 2 Nextels with the International Walkie Talkie, but I am getting conflicting information from Nextel if the Walkie Talkie will work in Mazatlan... (I don't care if the phone part works, just the walkie) Thanks!
to clerify. my objective with the phone is to walkie talkie from my home in Oregon to my brother in Mazatlan. I dont care about the phone portion, just walkie talkie from oregon to mazatlan... thanks

I have nextel and actually it should work in mexico since they have service there including walkie talkie. I like my walkie talk and plus it's free conversation. but since you already got the international service on it it should definately work. it worked when my bro was in venezuala and i didn't even change my plan to international he did his though. so try it. and call nextel and they should explain it well to you!!
i know when i go to europe it will work there i already found out cuz i'm heading there.

There was a flyer sent out a few months ago that said something like the more you use the 2-way the more points you get. The more points you get the better prizes you can get.

I have Nextel and i never heard of this promotion and i use the walkie talkie a LOT even more than my minutes thank good for unlimited. The only thing i can say is check the nextel website for promotions but really it sounds too good to be true because i will have enough points right now to get a car .Think about it i can keep the button on the quick connect down talking to you for the whole day with no problem because i get unlimited so its easy for anybody to rack up the minutes they will be loosing a lot on a promotion like this don't you think?

I currently have Nextel and have been disappointed with the service, but like the walkie-talkie because so many of my friends have it. I am looking at Cingular, but am not sure if I can two-way a Nextel customer with a Cingular push to talk phone.

No you cannot. At least not at this time. Cingular PTT service is not interoperable with PTT service offered by other carriers. Cingular just got theirs up and going not to long ago, it will be a bit before they can sync theres with other providers.
