A few friends and I go dirtbike riding every weekend and we quite often get split up and have to waste riding time with trying to find each other. I was just wonder if that have walkie talkies out that aren't to expensive but that has a headset and maybe even hands free so we don't have to stop to communicate. The hands free don't have to be a priority just headset. All we would need would be 5 - 10 miles.
Many radio sets include headsets with a voice operation function.
are you walkie and talkie!?!!!
I don't think I need more than 5 miles range top. Ideally this would be more afforadble of a solution.
Generally speaking I just yell, but in senario paintball (which is a lot of fun) There is a huge expanse of field in use and if you go with the intent of playing with friends it can be VERY hard to meet up after someone gets out and has to go back to the start again. I really want this primarily for senario paintball.
Definitely go with the GMRS/FRS two-way radios. You can find one's with at least 5 mile range for about $25 for a pair. Since you dont' want to take your hands off you marker, you can get some VOX enabled (voice activated) headsets. The headsets run about $10-30 each.
Recommended age: 5 years and up
Features a safe and flexible antenna
Children can learn Morse Code
Multi-colored walkie talkies for kids
Uses 2 9V batteries, not included
I have searched several sites but because i need to use it for a weekend hike i do not have the time to order it through the mail. I just need to be able to read it online to refresh myself on how to use it. Thanks, would appreciate any help.

and what would the conciquences be if i did air it over please good and honest answers are appreciated
just thought i'd be more safe than sorry
Yes it is against the law. Federal law, the FCC regulates the re-transmission of communications on frequencies where they are not specifically authorized.

LandSecs looks set to dust off Walkie-Talkie tower - Building
Work on the Walkie-Talkie skyscraper in London looks set to begin again after its developer, Land Securities, asked construction firms to provide estimates for the building.
The 500ft-high City of London skyscraper, dubbed the Walkie-Talkie because of the structural shape of the building, was shelved around 18 months ago due to the recession.
According to reports, the development could begin again this year.
Construction fees are expected to have fallen significantly compared with when the company last looked into the development.
It is understood that the developer is uncertain as to whether it will need to bring in another investor before going ahead with the scheme.
